**Job Duties**
The Point-of-Sale Operators primary role is to correctly follow work bag orders and produce orders to customer specification as stated in any given instructions. The operator ensures that all work is carried our promptly and to a high standard in line withcompany objectives. The operator must work effectively and efficiently at all times, follow instructions when given and show willingness to train in new and existing areas. The operator will be responsible for machine set up and operation and will be requiredto achieve required output as per scheduling plans within given projected time scales.
Key responsibilities:
- Determine the resources required to complete workflow within assigned timescales.
- Provide prompt feedback to Head of Digital regarding workflow activities and ensure work is produced with projected timescales.
- Monitor and report staff absence, sickness and report back to Head of Digital promptly.
- Coach, mentor and provide training to direct reports.
- Provide staff feedback consistently and in line with HR policies and liaise and communicate with human resources when necessary.
- In consultation with the Head of Digital, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for department activities.
- Be able to provide positive and negative feedback in a constructive and respectful manner.
- Participate fully in any set meetings with Head of Digital.
- Establish a communication schedule to update Head of Digital (and other appropriate staff) on the progress of the project.
- Advise and order consumables as directed for machinery and book service engineers.
- Order paper as necessary. Make sure paper used is deducted from stock records.
- Review the quality of the work completed with the team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets company standards.
**Personal Specification**
- Knowledge of digital print and operational standards
- Proficiency in the use of computers for Tharstern reporting / ordering paper and time-logging, Data base management and E-mails
**Salary
**£25K per annum
**Hours**
Monday - Friday 08:45-17:30
**Benefits**
263.5 hours of annual leave per annum
