Peace Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Labourer/Handyman/Handywoman to join our client's team for a crucial role in checking and maintaining university accommodation. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent handyman skills, and strict adherence to quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of university accommodation units to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including:

- Replacing doors, handles, and locks as required.
- Installing and replacing lightbulbs and fixtures.
- Silicone sealing and grouting in bathrooms to ensure water-tightness.
- Carrying out general repairs and addressing minor issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to established maintenance procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to accommodation occupants' maintenance requests.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a skilled Labourer/Handyman, preferably in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficient in a variety of maintenance tasks, including door replacement, light fixture installation, silicone sealing, and general repairs.
- Previous experience in handyman/skilled labouring work and maintenance is essential.
- Ability to start on June 5th, 2023, and commit to Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm working hours.
- Holding a CSCS card is preferable, but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify maintenance needs.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with occupants and colleagues.

Contract Details:

- Duration: 2-4 weeks.
- Start Date: June 5th, 2023.
- Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
