Landlords’ Little Helper is an Edinburgh based company that was established in 2017. We provide a range of services to landlords across the city. Services we provide include holiday let cleaning and turnaround services; end of tenancy deep cleans; property maintenance; and organising landlord compliance checks. We work with letting agents and private landlords to help them deliver an excellent experience to their tenants and guests. We have a portfolio of 150-200 properties that we provide planned and reactionary maintenance to.

This position is to add to the team and support our current Handyman and holiday let cleaning team.

Common work carried out includes:
Quick essential fixes in properties for guests and tenants including replacing light bulbs, fixing toilet flushes, stopping leaks, installing or fixing curtain poles and blinds, sealing baths & showers.

Refurbishment projects, including bathrooms, laying new floors, painting & decorating.

General garden and outdoor space tidying

Carrying out compliance tests if qualified to do so (such as PAT, Legionella etc).

Working with the housekeeping teams to deliver and collect linen and supplies, replace lightbulbs, and supplies and move furniture when required.

You'll work in a team with another handyman, some weekend or evening shifts will be needed, especially in the busy periods, or for emergency repairs. You'll have access to a van and tools during the day, but the van is to be left at the office overnight. Vehicles are shared with other members of the team as required.

The position will suit someone who has worked within maintenance before, you should have a range of skills across a few trades, but you may not have a trade qualification. You'll come to the office in Leith in the morning and then head out to various flats to complete your work. Properties are located across Edinburgh, Midlothian & East Lothian.
