Job Title: Junior Planner (Construction) - Asta Software Experience - £30-35K
Job Summary:
As a Junior Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and scheduling activities for our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to assist senior planners in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies using the Asta project management software. You will collaborate with different teams to ensure efficient project execution while maintaining the highest level of quality and adherence to deadlines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Project Planning: Collaborate with senior planners to develop and update project schedules using Asta software. Create and maintain detailed plans that outline project tasks, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Resource Allocation: Assist in identifying resource requirements and allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress against established schedules, identify potential delays or issues, and propose corrective measures to keep the project on track.
- Data Analysis: Utilize Asta software to analyze project data, generate reports, and provide insights to project stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and various stakeholders to understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives. Foster effective communication and teamwork throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project schedules and propose risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the refinement of planning processes and methodologies, incorporating industry best practices to enhance overall project efficiency and performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, project logs, and any changes to project schedules.
**Requirements**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in construction planning and scheduling, with hands-on experience using Asta software.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Asta or Procore (or similar project management tools) to develop and manage project schedules. Familiarity with other construction software and tools is a plus.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting data and making data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting project updates to stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: Attentive to detail, ensuring accurate and precise project documentation and scheduling.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: A collaborative and adaptable mindset with a willingness to support and contribute to the success of the project team.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
