The applicant should have experience in the management of respiratory patients and be able to provide evidence of this. The post holder will monitor patients remotely and will provide patients with prompt access to specialist advice which will be evidence based and in line with current guidelines, whilst also supporting patients through their healthcare journey.

A full assessment of patients will take place on the acute medical wards/A&E prior to the patient being discharged home. Patients will be monitored from home virtually by the Respiratory Sister who will be based in the respiratory nursing team office at James Cook University Hospital. Community visits may be required where necessary to prevent admission, therefore applicants must have access to a vehicle in order to provide home visits.
