**Hours - 40 hours,**

**Work Pattern - 5 out of 7 days - shift pattern 0630 - 2300, rotating early, day and late shifts**

**Receptionist Duties Include**:
Deliver an efficient and effective arrival and check-out service to all guests, visitors and staff to Reception; following the correct procedures to ensure that customer’s expectations are met or exceeded.

Liaise with guests when complaints or queries arise in an efficient manner, referring to the

Operations Manager - Front of House services, Assistant front of house manager or Head Receptionist where escalation is required and communicating changes and requests to colleagues promptly.

Follow processes and procedures as identified in the operations manual, ensuring that all processes (including cash, messaging etc.) are dealt with accurately and consistently, whilst maintaining an orderly reception area.

Follow exact procedures in the event of a Fire, taking responsibility as required of the Receptionist in the given circumstances.

Answer telephones and effectively reroute calls to colleagues, providing customers and other stakeholders with a friendly and efficient service.

Maintain 3rd party booking site to increase B&B revenue.

Assist the Head receptionist in driving sales of all offerings available at Ashorne hill including meeting rooms, tuck shop, bed and breakfasts and catering offerings.
- On occasions flexibility may be required across departments in order to manage peaks and troughs of business demands. Prior notice and agreement will be maintained on these occasions and will not expose the member of staff to health and safety risks. Appropriate training will be given where necessary._

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

The job requires a professional and friendly interface with a variety of client and internal staff at all levels. Conflicting demands and pressures will require considerable tact, discretion and persuasiveness to maintain customer satisfaction.

Good customer awareness is essential as is the ability to develop relationships to ensure maximum revenue earning potential.

This post requires a person with good organisational skills and attention to detail in addition to the ability to be flexible (but aware of ‘knock-on’ implications) and able to cope with late information and alterations.

Formal Hospitality qualification (NVQ Level 2) is desirable.

Computer skills and friendly/ efficient telephone manner are essential.
