Plant Buyer

Fit Out UK is a leading interior fit out, logistics and relocation contractor that operates nationwide.
We are seeking a Plant Buyer for our Park Royal location. The role will be responsible for procuring, scheduling, and managing the plant and tool hire needs of the business, ensuring the appropriate equipment is on-site aligned to the project needs.
As a Plant Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing plant. You will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
**Role Details**
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and seek new partnerships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Analyse project requirements and create procurement plans.
- Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Obtain quotes, review specifications, and select appropriate suppliers.
- Ensure that procured materials and equipment meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues related to product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and potential disruptions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between procurement and project goals.
**Requirements**:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
We are currently interviewing with a view to a start as soon as possible.
