**Covering Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle, Leek, Biddulph, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stone & Stafford (**Stafford and surrounding, North Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent)

**£22,000 (pro rata)**

**Part-Time - 20 hours per week (over 4 days either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri)**

**Based from home, delivering approximately 6 sessions per week across the Stoke on Trent Area.**

**Must be able to drive with access to your own car**

Consider the role of a **Health & Wellbeing Engagement and Delivery Coach**

Our client is a public service provider delivering lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that help people improve their health.

**What is the role about?**

The main purpose of the Health & Wellbeing Coach is to deliver the group-based health & wellbeing services.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Deliver the ‘Reed Wellbeing’ programmes and other elements of service in a manner that engages and interests all participants.
- Tailor delivery to meet the Participant’s needs and learning styles.
- Creating and maintaining a constructive and confidential learning environment
- Capturing key metrics at different points in the participants’ journey i.e. monitoring and recording participants’ progress on weight management.
- Liaise with professionals including GPs and primary care staff to promote and generate referrals to the service.

**Skills & experience**

**Essential Criteria**
- **Experience of coaching or facilitating diverse participant groups.**:

- Experience of/interest in working with groups to achieve sustained behavioural or lifestyle improvements.
- Experience of working to targets and driving performance improvement.
- Ability to establish an effective and appropriate rapport with key stakeholders and participants.
- An understanding of health-related behaviour change.
- Active listening skills whilst maintaining a non-judgemental perspective on participant’s lifestyle, weight, and health.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and accurately, information regarding an individual’s health and weight.
- Ability to coach individuals and groups to identify solutions and develop knowledge and skills to support behavioural change.
- Demonstrable time management and personal organisation skills with the capacity to monitor, evaluate and report on work carried out.
- Willingness to undertake evening and weekend work as required.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel in order to deliver programmes across designated region.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- REPs Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or equivalent;
- or Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (eg. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent);
- or Level 3 qualification in nutrition;
- or Level 3 Training qualification (eg. PTTLs/Award in Education & Training)
