Junior/intermediate Planner

Are you a Junior/Intermediate Planner looking for your next opportunity? Walker Construction are currently hiring. You'll join our Planning team who work alongside our Civil Engineering, Building and Rail sectors.

We are keen to hear from anyone who is looking to progress into the role, or someone with site-based experience looking for a change of career path. Ideally you will have experience of working within the construction industry at a site-based level.

You will be working with experienced Planners who will progress your knowledge and understanding of construction as well as planning.

You will provide robust planning support at preconstruction stages developing tender programmes for submission and supporting on site operations teams as required. You will be delivering good quality logical programmes, associated work and ongoing monitoring for projects on site.

The position will be based at our Head Office in Lympne but will necessitate working from other regional offices and travel to/from our construction sites nationwide, wherever the need arises.

Additional training will be provided and CPD is continually encouraged.

Key skills:
An understanding of project planning skills.

Good organisation skills.

It is desirable to have an understanding of ASTA Power Project version onwards 12 and/or Primavera P6.

A good knowledge of the Construction industry.

Good communication skills and a strong team player.
