Are you looking for a new start, using your caring nature and skills in care to support residents in a well know local care home? Being kind and compassionate is the most important skills, we can teach the rest if you are new to the care sector. As a **Health Care Assistant on Days**, we will support you to provide the best in dedicated care at our wonderful 46 bed, Nursing and Residential Care Home in Brockenhurst, Southampton, easily commutable from local areas around Southampton.
Working within a friendly and supportive team, you will be helping to provide the best possible, person-centred care to our elderly residents to help them feel right at home, whilst ensuring to help maintain their independence, dignity and, above all, control of their own lives.

**Benefits**:
- Competitive salary of £10.75ph
- Enhanced hourly rates for additional shifts worked over your contracted hours, paid at £2 extra per hour
- £500 joining bonus, paid upon successful completion of your probation period
- Every other weekend off work (/if not possible, working 2 weekends in 4)

**What we are looking for**:
- Caring and compassionate personality, with a passion to help others in a safe manner
- Initiative to work alone but also a team player
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing high standards of physical and emotional support and care to our residents
- Support with residents everyday living tasks but with tailored, people centre approach, dependant on each individuals needs
- Promoting and encouraging residents to attend lifestyle activities, ensuring to help residents safely get to and from planned activities at the home
- Assisting the lifestyle coordinator with running and delivering lifestyle activities to residents, from planned activities to one to one, person centred activities such as reading or delivering nail care to residents
- Helping to maintain high levels of rapport with both residents and fellow team members
- Reporting any wellbeing/safeguarding concerns
- Ensuring the home is kept clean, tidy and safe
