About The Job

Alfa Laval UK&I are on an exciting journey, with an innovative service offering and strong position in the market, we are looking for a field sales engineer who will join our energy service team focusing on our portfolio of service offerings across heat transfer and separation technologies.

As a field sales engineer in our energy service team your role will be instrumental in developing customer relationships and unlocking potential to grow sales of services into the Energy markets (Power, Process, HVAC etc) in the UK&I. This is a home-based role with frequent travel required in the dedicated mid-UK region, from Teesside in the North to Warwickshire in the South, therefore; a valid driving licence will be essential.

The main responsibilities include:

- Generating sales and develop future business through existing and new customers to end users and contractors.
- Identifying sales potential and develop a proactive business plan taking into consideration the relevant strategies, goals & priorities of the division.
- Drive continued growth and forge lasting relationships with key customers.
- Proactively follow up quotations, manage opportunities, develop leads, and establish contacts with the customer base using CRM tools.
- You will be expected to spend 60 - 70% of your time out of the office, attending key sites and meetings, travel will be predominantly UK based.

What You Know

Direct Sales experience is a must, with a demonstrable track record of achieved sales, ideally in after sales & service. You have excellent written and verbal communication in English. Although desirable, a technical qualification is not essential for this role, however knowledge of heat transfer & separation technology, would be beneficial.
