We are currently looking to recruit a **Trainee Branch Support Assistant** to join our friendly team who work out of our **Leeds** branch.

This position encompasses both Office and some Warehouse duties, reporting directly to the Sales Admin Supervisor to ensure all daily operations and functions are carried out efficiently and to the best possible standards.

As a Trainee you will benefit from both training and valuable hands on experience.

Areas you will receive training and experience in are listed below.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**A. Office - Sales**
- Answering the phone, taking customer sales orders and processing, credit checking customer accounts, taking payments over the phone, answering customer queries, sales invoicing, issuing and processing quotations, calling customers to increase product range, supporting the manager and to deal with other sales related issues.

**B. Team Work**
- Will need to work both as part of a small team and individually, being both willing and flexible to carry out any tasks required. Self-motivation is essential.
- To work with the manager to improve current systems.

**C. Office General**
- Issuing Quotes/Pricing, banking cash and cheques, completing cash sheets using Excel spread sheets, sales analysis (lost business etc.) and other standard company admin tasks.

**D. Office - Purchasing/Stock Control**
- Book in stock daily, Review stock levels, raise purchase orders and deal with suppliers (for chasing, price and product info) Liaising with Head Office as necessary.
- Review stocking policies with the Branch manager to ensure stock levels are adequate for business needs.

**E. Warehouse / Trade Counter**
- Deal with customers face to face at the trade counter, collecting payments prior to picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy. Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure duties and tasks are performed to company deadlines and standards.
- Handling goods in and checking off goods against supplier’s paperwork.
- Carrying out rolling Stock Checks as required by the management.

Our Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch.
