Are you ready to start your career in early years? As a Nursery Apprentice at our nursery, you will kick start your career and earn while you learn

Each day will be different and you will be making a difference to children’s lives. Our experienced team will support you as you are taught how to care for children and support their development.

You’ll learn about how children learn and the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as basics such as nappy changing, feeding and helping older children to feed themselves. You will be working both inside and outside as your building relationships and support the children as they play.

Whilst working in the nursery, you will also be linked to a local college who will help you to gain a recognised childcare qualification - essential for a career in early years. This will include assessments and college work alongside your work in the room.

**No experience is required for this role - just a willingness to learn, enthusiasm and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship.**

**Full vacancy description**

Your day to day responsibilities in this role will include:

- Supported supervision of children aged 0-4.
- Supervising and monitoring the safety of the children.
- Feeding and changing the children, as needed.
- Planning day to day activities.
- Building strong relationships with parents.
- Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

- Good communication skills
- Ability to communicate on a variety of levels; between parents, children and colleagues
- Awareness of safeguarding
- Willingness to learn

**Desired qualifications**

Ideally grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) in Maths and English or equivalent.

The role involves working in line with policies and procedures and learning a high level of safeguarding and health and safety knowledge.
