An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Nutrition & Dietetics Service based at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

There are 2 x 0.6 WTE rotational posts for a Advanced Practitioner in Dietetics to work within the three teams: acute, community and paediatrics. You will be fully supported by our dietitians and clinical leads to develop your knowledge and skills further, and meet clinical competencies relevant to this role.

These posts will ideally suit someone who is looking to progress onto further study to become a registered dietitian or simply wish to progress onto a more clinical faced role.

You will be able to demonstrate at interview that you have the necessary skills to work with patients and that you understand the impact that managing additional dietary and /or health needs has on patients and their wider care team.

You will play an important role within the team and will be supported at all times by a Dietitian. You will be expected to work to agreed policies, guidelines and pathways to ensure quality patient care and patient safety. You will be given specific responsibilities by the team and will be expected to manage your time and these responsibilities effectively.

Full training will be given at the start of the job. You will be supported to produce a portfolio of evidence to show that you are competent and you will have ongoing development identified in the appraisal process.
