Spire Regency, Macclesfield is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associated Theatre Practitioner to join our high-performing Theatre Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to provide assistance to our surgeons in the operating theatre scrub role. As an Associated Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, positioning and connecting equipment, and ensuring proficiency with equipment before use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled assistance to surgeons in the operating theatre scrub role
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including instrumentation and equipment for procedures
  • Position and connect equipment as required by the scrub team
  • Ensure proficiency with equipment before use
  • Prepare sterile trolleys and ensure all instrumentation is correct and accounted for
  • Undertake surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving procedures aseptically
  • Assist in skin preparation and draping of the surgical field
  • Assist registered practitioners in preparation of medicines required during surgery
