**Tempting Recruitment **are working on behalf of our client, a
**local authority** in
**West London**, to recruit an experienced
**Temporary Accommodation Officer**. If you would like to increase your earnings heading into next year,

**Contract: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)**

**Rate: £25 p/h (Umbrella)**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Shift Pattern: 36 hours / Full time**

**DUTIES**
- To arrange for the admission of new households into temporary accommodation, ensuring residents are aware of their rights and responsibilities, and the impact to their tenancy/licence should there be a breach.
- To ensure residents maintain satisfactory standards of conduct, and implement remedial action when appropriate.
- To recommend termination of a tenancy/licence and implement legal proceedings as appropriate; serve Notice to Quit; co-ordinate and produce witness statements and attend court as required.
- To be responsible for the maintenance and security of buildings, equipment and plant.
- To undertake regular inspections, ensuring compliance with health & safety, standards of fitness, means of escape, etc.
- To identify and prioritise repair and planned maintenance requirements. To take remedial action as and when necessary.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Detailed knowledge of legislation and relevant case law in relation to the statutory provision of temporary accommodation.
- Must have experience of working with families at risk of homelessness and those and temporary accommodation.
- Experience of lone-working across multiple sites, or an understanding of what this entails.
- **An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.**
