**Description of business unit**:
Huntingdon based Marshall Leasing is a coordinated vehicle leasing business positioned 22nd the largest fleet leasing company in the UK. The business is service led and has been rated number one in the independent fleet eye customer survey. We also were voted 'Fleet Service Company of the year' in 2010, 2013 and 2016, and 'Fleet Leasing company of the year' 2017 by the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO). In 2018 we were winners of Fleet News Leasing Company of the year up to 20,000 vehicles.

The Operations team, including the Fleet Maintenance department, are busy leading Marshall Leasing customer's vehicle fleets and ensuring that vehicle down-time is kept to a minimum while effectively leading service and repair costs, which forms an essential part of our service offering.

**Purpose of the Role**:
Predominantly to lead vehicle service and repair costs to ensure that all costs are kept within budget and keep vehicle downtime to an absolute minimum. To ensure vehicle manufacturers warranties are applied where vital and to support other areas of the business with fleet management.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- To ensure that all work authorised is in accordance with manufacturers servicing schedules and industry recognised standards. Utilising databases including vehicle histories, contract type, contract duration, warranty position, client specific authority levels to achieve optimal outcomes
- To ensure repairs are authorised and compliant in terms of current legal and safety standards
- To ensure technical authorisation provides help and advice to aid Service Booking partners with technical and procedural questions
- To carry out all specified administrative tasks according to operational procedures, to include (but not limited to) complaint resolution, downtime management, manual invoice processing, Storage Management, Accident Management, End of Contract Damage Management and billing
- To overview vehicle downtime and make representation to manufacturers to ensure that this is kept at a minimum
- To build a proactive friendly rapport with customers and suppliers in line with Marshall Leasing's values
- Use best practice to lead and minimise all maintenance costs without compromising vehicle safety and customer service
- To highlight possible re-charge opportunities whilst maintaining and developing customer confidence and satisfaction
- Wherever possible acquire good will contribution to costs from OEM's or repairers where work is at fault
- Complaints/problem resolution ensuring all internal and external business interactions meet the highest ethical standards and legal requirements
- To assist with technical authorisation audits on our customers Maintenance Control teams
- Monitoring, maintain & updating on ongoing jobs
- Customer liaison
- Other general administrative tasks

**Cover Duties Include**

A good level of education is required although industry experience is more desirable.

**Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Experience of vehicle leasing/daily rental services
- A curiosity about vehicles and/or motoring activities also
- Experience on the Epyx 1Link platforms
- Previous experience with fleet administration
- This role would suit a time served motor vehicle technician qualified to City & Guilds, IMI or Manufacturer standards or an experienced service adviser
