**Senior Medical Underwriter (Part-time, Full-time or Job-share)**

**Location: Flexible. Home working arrangements can be considered dependent on location**

**Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (Depending on experience)**

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

**So who are we looking for?**

We are looking for experienced medical underwriters, with a passion for delivering outstanding service, to join our UK retail protection team.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to a wide range of stakeholders including customers and advisers
- Explain decisions made and positively resolve any decision challenges
- Provide training, coaching and support to other team members.
- Actively support and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement
- Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude, always acting with integrity

**Ideally you will**:

- Have had underwriting authority for all protection products including Life, Critical Illness, and Income Protection
- Have significant awareness of the overall Protection market and landscape
- Work well in a team but also thrive individually and be self-motivated
- Be customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Have appropriate IT skills
