**Level 1 - Grade 8, £33,945 - £38,223 per annum.**

**Level 2 - Grade 9, £37,336 - £42,403 per annum.**

**Your role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified (Level 2) or a partially qualified officer (Level 1) with enforcement knowledge and experience to join a dedicated Trading Standards team.

You will play an active part in a team that covers a range of trading standards disciplines, and that is keen to make a positive difference.

You will help supervise officers, delegate complaints, lead operations and provide guidance to other officers in the team.

To be eligible for consideration as a Level 1 partially qualified officer, you will already possess a Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards, or a Trading Standards Practitioners Certificate, and be committed to completing and passing professional exams of the metrology module within 3 years.

**About you**:
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic officer, keen to develop their skills and professional development.

You will be experienced in a range of trading standards enforcement activities. You will be enthusiastic, willing to try new approaches and keen to contribute.

Experienced in leading investigations, you will be skilled in preparing cases for legal proceedings, and devising project work.

You will work in a busy Trading Standards team which has a focus on innovative work to tackle issues facing the local community. Priorities include criminal investigations of fair trading, E-cigarettes, illicit tobacco and underage sales.
