Job Overview:
Carritech is a leading supplier of telecommunications equipment, companies around the world rely on us for spare parts and it is essential that our shipments are packed with care and attention to ensure the correct goods arrive on time and in one piece. We are based at the Holmes Hill Estate on the A22, which is approximately 5 miles north of Hailsham and 7 miles south of Uckfield; our postcode is BN8 6JA.

Our company is experiencing a surge in demand for our products and as a result we looking to employ a temporary warehouse operative to support our operations during this busy period; for an initial 3-month period with a rolling month thereafter.

We are looking for a diligent and reliable person with good communication skills to work alongside our team. You must be able to work quickly and accurately, have good computer skills and attention to detail is a must as well as being physically fit and able to lift heavy items.

You will be picking parts from our inventory, cleaning and packing them for despatch, also checking goods that arrive, before booking them on to our stock system and storing them in the warehouse. If you have forklift experience, particularly a reach truck, that will be beneficial but training will be provided.

From time to time, you will also help to dismantle equipment, as we recycle all goods that cannot be sold and making sure the workplace is clean and tidy is a must to ensure a safe working environment, we will of course supply all tools and PPE as necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive & despatch deliveries
- Stock inventory
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of shipments
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills

Please note that this position may require extended periods of standing, bending, and walking throughout the warehouse.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
