**MUST HOLD SECURITY CLEARANCE**

The Independent Safety Assurance (ISA) role supports the MODSAP project team in undertaking a range of assurance activities. The primary focus for the QQ ISA is new capability insertions, safety/airworthiness issues and assuring adherence to processes (SMS).

MODSAP is divided into the following programmes:
**1) Saudi-British Defence Cooperation Programme (SBDCP) covering**:
- Panavia Tornado;
- Training Aircraft;
- Weapons integration onto aircraft;
- Post-Design Services for aircraft issues
**2) Salam Project covering**:
- Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft delivery;
- Weapons integration onto aircraft;
- Post-Design Services or aircraft issues.

**Responsibilities include:

- **
- Independent technical review of safety and environmental artefacts, and DO/CDO/PC submissions in support of Type/Continuing Airworthiness, operation (SOIU), Release to Service (RTS) updates and capability deliveries.
- Independent assurance of PC risks, hazards, escalation briefs, and safety assessments/cases.
- Provision of assurance reports, briefs and technical reviews as required by MODSAP.
- Input and support to MODSAP safety and governance, and associated meetings.
- Assist and advise MODSAP project team desk officers.
- Assist and advise the PC on their SMS and SEMP.
- Engagement with PC/CDO on upcoming RTS updates, clearances and emergent issues.
- Auditing and assuring MODSAP UK and KSA processes, and input into continuous improvement of processes.
- Technical Assurance of QQ SALAM ISA and WOME ISA reports/deliverables.

**Essential Skills:

- **
- Suitably Qualified and Experienced (SQEP) in the field of Safety Engineering and Airworthiness.
- Working knowledge of global safety practises.
- Knowlegde of technical governance.
- Aerospace background with track record of relevant technical activity delivery.
- Technical experience throughout the air vehicle life cycle.
