As an Environment & Sustainability Advisor you will provide support and advice for operational teams on all aspects of environmental management, developing environmental documentation, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement. You will understand and work with Clients and Regulators to ensure their environmental requirements are complied with. Support with tender responses to support our bid teams. We're looking for someone who can provide support with tenders for work and so an understanding of environmental planning and permitting is and advantage.
**What you'll be doing**
Provide advice and support to operational and bid teams on environmental matters
- Identify the need for environmental management, mitigation and sustainability plans.
- Maintain relationships with regulators, clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure the environmental management system is maintained in line with changing standards and legislation and Client requirements.

**Who we're looking for**
Understanding of environmental planning and permitting (essential)
- DCO/Planning experience
- Strong knowledge of environmental management and sustainable development.
- Educated to degree level in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.
- Understanding of ecological and archaeological matters and environmental law.
- Commercial awareness.
- Full UK drivers licence and flexibility to travel
- Understanding of the utilities/construction/engineering operating environment
- Literate in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook

Desirable:

- Internal environmental auditor qualification
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry
- IEMA Membership
