Our client based in Brentford is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join their team.

My client delivers systems that can perceive and understand the world with the same semantic richness as the human brain and using the same neural mechanisms they believe are at work in the brain.

Their approaches are inspired by their recent advances in theoretical neuroscience, which are beginning to deliver an understanding of how the brain makes sense of the world.

We wish to appoint an experienced Full-Stack Developer to develop an intuitive, attractive and highly functional UI that showcases computer vision capabilities and that can be demonstrated to and, in time, used by end users and customers.

**Full Stack Developer - job responsibilities**:

- Contribute to development and software engineering efforts to develop solutions to our most pressing problems and to put your work into practice.
- Participate in defining the software development roadmap and in holding responsibility for delivering core components of our machine vision products.
- Work with research colleagues and offer technical support to colleagues in commercial roles in developing business opportunities.
- Produce project deliverables by challenging milestone dates.

**Full-Stack Developer - essentials**:

- Experience (2 years+) as an Application Developer with experience in the following technologies: FRONTEND: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax; BACKEND: Flask framework, Django; DATABASE: NoSQL DB, e.g.MongoDB, Kafka.
- Proven contribution to design, development and scaling of high quality, practical reliable software.
- Design and implement code that is fit for purpose, scalable, human-readable, and in line with industry best practice.
- Deliver quality control by testing intuitiveness, user experience, and debugging where necessary.
- Communicate with directors and end users to understand their business goals and objectives and interpret that into the required changes to the platform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced engineering team.

**Full Stack Developer - desirable**:

- Experience projecting images onto geocoordinates.
- Streaming, tagging and rendering.
- SCRUM or other agile/rapid development methodology experience.
- Work with important defence sector clients. You will need to be able to pass security clearance processes to at least BPSS and, preferably SC level.
- Strong academic background; MSc or higher in a relevant computer science discipline or similar experience from industry.
- Experience working in a start-up Environment.
