- _L_ Catterton to supercharge our growth.- We are looking for an Operational Risk Specialist to work alongside the Head of Risk. This role will be responsible for working alongside the Product verticals and business functions to manage and improve the operational risk framework to support and enable our expansion strategy.You will
- Help embed the framework and tools for identifying, assessing and documenting operational risks in our business today, as well as those we will face as we expand to new territories and roll out new products
- Establish, review and report on key risk indicators, as well as limit frameworks
- Own the operational risk incident governance, including incident response processes, recording and categorisation of events, post-mortems and risk incident reports
- Assist with the documentation of the risk framework including creating or updating risk, error, and related policies and procedures.
- Educate, assist and drive adoption amongst the business areas of risk ownership, measurement and development of common processes.
- Drive Risk reporting to senior management, including taking ownership for the overall creation of the monthly Risk & Compliance Committee report
- Assist the Head of Risk, working closely with both the Finance team and business Risk Owners to establish and implement methodologies and tools for quantifying Operational and Business risk as part of the capital adequacy process / ICARA process.

About you
- You have experience of Operational Risk Management, with a regulated financial services background (this can be either within a 2nd line Operational Risk team, a 1st line business risk team / champion or other experience).
- You ideally have experience from a technology-led financial institution and/or start-up / scale-up environments
- You ideally have experience of contributing to ICAAPs /ICARAs, especially operational risk aspects
- You prioritise a practical approach to risk management over a theoretical one
- You can translate risk concerns and processes to employees from a diverse group of disciplines, including non-financial ones
- You are resourceful and self-starting; you have appetite for picking up areas of which you have limited past experience
- You are ambitious and attracted to Freetrade’s company mission and to building your career at a fast-paced scale-up
- You are excited by working in continual partnership with the product verticals and across functions
- You are constantly looking to learn, whether deepening your risk knowledge or increasing your context from working across the company or from the financial sector
