User centred design process
- Lean UX within an agile environment
- User research: Planning, facilitating and reporting user insights through methodologies such as usability testing, ethnographic research, task analysis, participatory workshops, RITE method, cognitive walkthrough, card sorting, affinity mapping
- Stakeholder relations: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders and collaborators.
- Facilitating collaboration: Planning and facilitating collaborative design sessions.
- Interaction design (IxD) for the web and mobile: Synthesising the output of user research with prerequisite knowledge of IxD principles to produce and document interface designs.
- Designing with usability best practices.:You round-off interaction design work with reference to accepted usability heuristics.
- Designing with accessibility best practices: An understanding of what it means to design usable-accessible interfaces as opposed to those which are simply technically accessible.
- Communicating design with documentation: Be it sketches, wireframes, or interactive prototypes. Our new UX designer will know when to pick the best design deliverable for the intended audience and deliver it at the highest standard.
- Information design: Looking beyond interaction design into the effective visual communication of complex data.
- Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery (or other JS library)
- 3+ years experience in pure UX. Or 1-2+ years experience in pure UX with former experience in a compatible design discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Using lean UX design and validation methods, including paper sketches, quick concept validation with end users, SMEs
- Participating in design review checkpoints to verify operational validity and engineering feasibility of user interface designs with business stakeholders, customers, and developers.
- Communicates specification (look and feel, behaviour, flow, etc.) of user interface designs to developers and testers.
