**Your opportunity**

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated student to join our Stakeholder & Community Engagement team. Our team is the first point of contact for a variety of stakeholders local to the project and beyond. We consult with local communities (including residents, students, local authorities, small businesses and the wider supply chain) and keep them informed of the progress and development of our projects to help ensure their smooth, successful and timely delivery. We’ll get you involved from day one, ensuring you gain an in-depth insight into the offshore wind industry in the UK. Drawing on the support and expertise of colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Support the planning and delivery of a range of Community Engagement events, from project updates to community groups and stakeholders to represent the project and RWE at large public events in the region
- Engage closely with our delivery partners who are constructing the 60km underground cable route and substation infrastructure required to connect the NOWZ to the National Grid
- Build upon existing, and create new, relationships with communities across the relevant area, strengthening a positive image of RWE and the project
- Collating, reporting on and presenting information to evidence the work and positive social value being created by the team that the team
- Provide administrative support, using a range of different software

**About you**
- You’ll be either in the penultimate year with an option to undertake a full year in industry placement, ideally undertaking studies in environmental science/management, sustainability, community engagement or similar. We’re looking for people on track to gain a 2.1 or higher
- You’re confident in your communication skills - both written and verbal - and would enjoy the opportunity to hone your presentation skills even further. You’re also fluent in English
- You can demonstrate that you can coordinate your own workload, be highly organised and meet tight deadlines
- You have a good knowledge of basic Microsoft packages (e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
- You’re comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team environment but happy to work on your initiative with mínimal supervision
- You enjoy being an analytical and creative thinker, with the confidence to challenge and work with others to find solutions to complex problems
- A clean UK driver’s license is essential

**Location**:Norwich or broader Norfolk area (hybrid working available, up to 2 days from home) with travel across the region

**Start date and duration**:Aug/Sept 2024 10-12 months according to student needs
