**_ Location:_** IMI Thompson Valves Ltd, Poole, UK. Site based.
**Job Summary**:
To ensure accurate and timely processing of all stores duties including receipts, picking and issuing of kits and materials, performing PI counts and other system and processes relating to the day-to day movement of goods within the Site.

**Responsibilities**:
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Receive/Issue/Dispatch goods in line with Company policy and systems.
- File and maintain all relevant documentation.
- Thoroughly investigate all errors or discrepancies and ensure that the relevant individuals are informed eg. Logistics Team Leader.
- Ensure all parts are stored or issued in a suitable manner to prevent damage.
- Issue components into valve kits as required by the Assembly area.
- Process spares kits.
- Maintain accurate inventory data (Perpetual Inventory Counts).
- Ensure batches are clearly identified and controlled.
- Carry out internal delivery/collection duties as required.
- Act as first point of contact for enquiries to the Stores area, escalating where appropriate.
- Support the Despatch area as required.
- Attend daily production meeting as required.

Employees must use all plant equipment and hazardous substances in accordance with the instruction and training provided and must report any dangerous situations and shortcomings in the Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire Safety (SHEF) Management System. All employees are to comply in full with the Company’s SHEF Policy.
**The Person**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- 5 GCSE’s (grade 4-5 or above) in Science, Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience of Goods Inwards/Despatch processes.
- Demonstrable experience of using a computerised system to manage stock and batch segregation.
- Ability to perform accurate stock checks and perpetual inventory checks.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Good levels of manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- PC Literate, with understanding of Excel.
- Flexible approach to work in both time and priority.
- Ability to work well within a team whilst having the confidence to work on own initiative.
- Accurate in data entry.
- Clean Driving Licence.
