Job Title: Junior Platform Engineer

**Salary**: £22,000 - £28,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week **(**Typically 9am-5.30pm or 8.30-5.00pm Monday - Friday)

Location: Cams Hall Estate, Fareham.

We are delighted to be working with our client based on the outskirts of Portsmouth. With over 20 years in the technology sector, our client prides itself on being one of the largest in its field and due to continued growth, they are now on the lookout fora Junior Platform Engineer to join their team.

**Team Purpose
Our client’s Platforms Team is responsible for reseller, vendor & customer facing platforms and integrations which are anchored around CloudBlue Commerce & Connect and the client Partner Portal.

**Role Purpose
As a Platform Junior Engineer you will be responsible for helping to deliver an expanding and secure, resilient and performant Platform using the latest technologies, integrating with key internal and external systems and with partners and vendors; essentialto the continued success of our client.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, high delivery standards and great communication skills.

The role requires an individual with good technical knowledge across a range of cloud technologies (including Linux, Azure, Microservices, Containerisation, Serverless, Office 365, CloudBlue) and an outcome-oriented mind-set. A track record of working collaborativelywith multiple teams across a business is key to success.

This is a full-time position based at our client’s Fareham office and although normal office working hours are expected, extra duties on an out-of-hours basis may be required and are considered part of the role. This includes travelling to external offices.Foreign travel for training and conferences will be required from time to time.

**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
**Essential**
- 1+ years’ experience in cloud/virtual infrastructure management
- An understanding and knowledge of cloud computing and the key drivers of commercial success
- Able to nurture strong business relationships, to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Strong verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work in a structured way and engage with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues
- Driving Licence and the ability to travel overseas

**Desirable**
- 3+ years’ experience in B2B/IT Technical Roles
- Technical knowledge across a range of cloud technologies including Linux, Azure, Microservices, Containerization, Serverless, Office 365, SQL, PostgreSQL, API’s, Power Platform including Power Automate, Power BI and PowerApps.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a team and excellent people skills
- Proven ability to drive the change process from plan to successful execution
- Experience in ecommerce platform operations
