**Job summary**:

- In this role you will be an integral member of the team running the SIREN (Sarscov2 Immunity & Reinfection Evaluation) study and associated studies. The SIREN study aims to find out whether healthcare workers who have evidence of prior COVID-19, detected by antibody assays (positive antibody tests), compared to those who do not have evidence of infection (negative antibody tests) are protected from future episodes of infection. Healthcare workers are recruited and followed for at least a year to study their immune response to the virus causing COVID-19, called SARS CoV2. We will do this by collecting data on their history of COVID-19 infection and any new symptoms.**Job description**:

- Clinical and research support to research and surveillance studies related to COVID-19
- Preparation of policy and strategy documents, briefings and presentations
- Provision of dedicated medical support into supporting laboratory set up for COVID-19
- Supporting Clinical Research teams in NHS Trusts
- Developing reports to UKHSA and Government
- Input into clinical reporting algorithms and adverse incident management.
- General support for outbreak investigations
- Participation in general work related to COVID-19 and wider impact on other infections
- Development of guidance related to COVID-19

**Person specification**:
An individual plan will be agreed with the StR, setting out their duties and objectives. The agreement will be tailored to take in consideration the individual StR's needs and the needs of the COVID-19 response. It will include the objectives for the placement and the output and timescales expected for any projects.
