We make promises to our customers, and we’ll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Review production schedules and manage freight bookings to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Ensure effective co-ordination of freight movements (including sea freight movements) for all manufactured inventory between the carrier and consignment locations, maximising service provision.
- Co-ordinating carrier pickup times, and providing shipment plans to ensure adherence to customer delivery requirements to final destination.
- Communicating frequently with internal (DHL Glasgow, USA and Canada) and external stakeholders (carriers, hauliers and customer) to ensure consistency in direction and expectations.
- Responsibility for returnable stock management and governance processes.
- Ensuring relevant systems and documentation are updated accurately in line with company procedure and timescales.
- Management of Outbound Sea freight bookings.

- Min 12 months’ experience in Logistics (Sea/Road/Air) processes is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational (task prioritisation) and administration skills.
- Numerical & IT Skills (ability to use is excel is essential).
- Knowledge of SAP would be desirable.
- Working knowledge of incoterms would be desirable.
- Customer focus and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
