Role holder will have detailed knowledge and bring best practice and external benchmarking to BAE. This could be in specialist areas not limited to but for example: employee relations, strategic workforce planning (SWP), Learning and Development, Talent Managementand nurturing, Performance and Capability, diversity and inclusion and Reward.
The individual would be an experienced professional within their area of specialism with a strong focus on customer service and would interface with the wider People CoE team and associated stakeholders. Providing specialist support, at this level the individualwill typically have experience in a specialist environment and have an informal role of monitoring and supporting less experienced team members and input into developing and setting policies and approaches in a niche skill environment as part of a broaderCentre of Expertise specialist area. Role requires a good understanding of the business and comprehensive knowledge of People processes and procedures.
The role will involve a range of more complex specialist activities, with a requirement to arrive at conclusions and follow the most appropriate course of action.
Role holder
- Contributes to the development and deployment of an overall specialism, best practice policies, processes, governance and supporting tools.
- Provides specialist insight and advice to People Advisors and People Partners (CoE) to enable engagement with the Business and HR teams and functions including to provide specialist insight and advice to Business & People teams & functions to influence, facilitateand implement change.
- Analyses industry, market trends and internal people data to identify short
- and long-term solutions that improve performance.
- Drives utilisation of key tools e.g. Success Factors, able to transfer system knowledge to People Advisors and People Partners (CoE) to support engagement across the Business.
- Manages and delivers projects to deliver agreed business/functional outcomes.
- Contributes to steering/working groups to deliver Centre of Expertise (CoE) specialist requirements.
- Delivers high quality, accurate and efficient end to end services (including services provided by People Services and external third parties).
- Develops effective and positive relationships with the People Advisors and People Partners (CoE) to support engagement with the wider People Team and other stakeholders within the business as required.
- Designs communications material and ensures material is easily accessible in order to support in delivering the annual people activity cycles.
- Provides analytical insight and the ability to interpret, manage and manipulate data with an excellent attention to detail.
- Provides education and supporting tools to ensure People Advisors and People Partners (CoE) can provide effective business implementation and delivery including but not all of:
- Development and deployment of Policy and processes in partnership with other CoE Assessment and evaluation of best practice and process Cyclical Employee Value Proposition Activities Pay Reviews, Incentives (short term and Long Term), Reward Statements andpsychological contract Diversity and Inclusion best practice approaches.

Qualifications or Experience
- Degree in Human Resources / Business. CIPD.
