**Salary**:£11.00-£12.00 per hour (DoE) - £55 per sleep - _due to change in Apil_

**Hours**:Average 37.5 per week (min 30 pw), usual pattern of 07:30-22:30, 1 on, 2 off. Avg. 5 sleeps per month on rota basis.

Our children’s residential home and that means we're looking for experienced residential childcare workers who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. Ideally, you'll have relevant experience and qualifications around residential care and childcare, but more importantly, we're looking for people who can build meaningful relationships with the young people in our care and be part of a supportive team.

As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you'll work directly with young people, providing care and support as they develop and grow. It is our goal to ensure that our young people are safe and secure, allowing them to thrive and prepare for the challenges towards independence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people in care
- Promote the health and wellbeing of young people as well as promoting independent living skills and education
- Work with other professionals, including social workers and medical professionals, to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people
- Support young people in all aspects of their daily lives, including education, and leisure activities
- Act as a positive role model for young people and promote their social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team, including senior staff and external agencies
- Attend meetings and training as required
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for young people in line with Ofsted regulations, and company policies
- Ensuring accurate and timely record keeping, report writing and daily logs
- Liaising with colleagues, multi-agency teams, and stakeholders

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience within residential childcare is desirable
- Ideally, you will have relevant qualifications relevant to residential childcare
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as resilience
- Ability to work flexibly, following shift patterns and sleep-in shifts
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
