The project will explore links between behaviour change and infrastructure for walking, wheeling and cycling, via social prescribing, in three areas of Cornwall - Penzance, St Austell & Clays and Bodmin. Social prescribing offers a means of supporting people, by linking them to activities to benefit their health and wellbeing. There are a number of roles available for anyone passionate about supporting communities and individuals to make changes in travel choices

There are a number of new opportunities across the ATSP project
- 1 x Project Manager
- 1 x 0.6 Public Health Practitioner (Intermediate)
- 3 x 0.6 Health Improvement Practitioners

You will be part of a dedicated team to deliver the ATSP Pilot project. This project will link Social Prescribers working for the NHS with Active Travel providers (who deliver community walks, cycle training, etc) with a view to encouraging people to be more active in their everyday lives. The Project Manager will lead the ATSP project supported by the other officer roles to:

- Work across the Council, with community organisations and wider health partners, such as GP practices. The roles will also include working with other external partners (e.g. Active Travel England), stakeholders, active travel provides, social prescribing networks and communities using a community development approach
- Co-ordinate and contribute to the development and delivery of the project in three areas of Cornwall
- Support the delivery and evaluation of specific projects by planning, monitoring and controlling specific assigned projects from start up to completion using recognised project management methods and tools.
- There is an ambition to develop an Active Travel Strategy for Cornwall linked to the project.

Full time and part time hours will be considered.
