Are you a skilled project manager with a passion for emergency planning? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and dynamic individual to join the London Resilience Group.
London Resilience Group is at the heart of multi-agency emergency planning and large-scale incident response in London, supporting and leading a partnership of over 200 organisations.
As a Resilience Officer, you will leverage exceptional project management skills to drive emergency preparedness activities. You will have responsibility for interpreting relevant legislation and guidance and bringing in industry best practice to drive aspects of emergency planning. Working with partner agencies, your expertise will support the preparation, response and recovery phases. This post will also work as an on-call supervisor within the response team, supporting the duty manager.
You should have experience of working in complex partnership environments and excellent project management, organisational and analytical skills to effectively manage competing deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital to convey complex information clearly. Experience of leading project work and response teams would be advantageous, as would knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) and the UK Government Resilience Framework.
You will be required to participate in training and scenario exercises to ensure competence and readiness as on on-call Supervisor. For this an allowance, currently, £4,477 is paid to staff at this level on the on-call rota.
