**About the Role**

As SENCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all students with special educational needs receive the tailored support and guidance they require to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for:

- **Leading and developing the school's SEN provision**: Collaborating with teachers, leadership teams, and external agencies to create and implement effective strategies for identifying, assessing, and supporting students with SEN.
- **Building strong working relationships**: Fostering positive relationships with students, parents/carers, teachers, and other professionals involved in supporting SEN students.
- **Providing expert advice and guidance**: Offering specialist knowledge and expertise to ensure all staff understand and implement best practices in SEN support.
- **Monitoring and evaluating SEN provision**: Regularly reviewing and analysing data to measure the effectiveness of interventions and continually improve SEN practices.
- **Leading and managing the SEN team**: Providing effective leadership and support to SEN teaching assistants and other staff involved in SEN provision.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- A relevant postgraduate qualification in SEN, such as an MSc or PGCE
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a SENCo or in a similar leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully implementing effective SEN strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Passionate about supporting students with SEN and promoting their inclusion
