Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- **Health Assessments**: Conduct health assessments and developmental reviews for children under the age of five.
- **Support and Education**: Provide support and education to parents and caregivers on child health, development, and parenting skills.
- **Safeguarding**: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- **Health Promotion**: Promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention through community outreach and individual consultations.
- **Care Planning**: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in partnership with families and other healthcare professionals.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in line with NHS policies and procedures.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with GPs, social services, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and families.
- **Public Health Initiatives**: Participate in public health initiatives and projects aimed at improving child health and reducing health inequalities.

Qualifications and Experience
- **NMC Registration**: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Health Visitor.
- **Experience**: Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in health visiting or a related field.
- **Knowledge**: Strong knowledge of child health, development, and safeguarding practices.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and multi-disciplinary teams.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks.
- **Flexibility**: Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations and demands.
- **Commitment to Excellence**: A commitment to providing high-quality care and continuous professional development.

Desirable
- **Experience in East London**: Familiarity with the local community and the specific health challenges faced by children and families in East London.
- **Public Health Initiatives**: Experience in participating in or leading public health initiatives.

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £27.00-£36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
