IBMG has over 170 branches extending from Penzance to Margate, generating revenues in excess of £650 million and are supported by over 2,200 colleagues.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our team at Barnstaple.

**The Role**

We are now recruiting for a Credit Controller to join our team to maintain effective and professional credit control support to the Independent Builders Merchant Group.

Setting up customer accounts and setting credit limits based on company risk management policies

Credit referencing and insurance cover activities at account set up, period credit reviews and customer credit increase requests

Effective liaison with the agencies, branches, insurers, customers, and credit control manager to ensure policy compliance

Effective liaison with the above stakeholders to collect cash timely and meet collection targets and other team KPIs including, but not limited to bad debts, on stop accounts and DSOs

Support in the emerging risks to mitigate and opportunities to improve and find efficiency

**Experience**

Previous Credit Control experience essential, Preferred experience of legal action process

**Location and Hours**

The role will be based at our Branch Support Centre in **Barnstaple**, working 42.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30 and Saturdays on a Rota
