**Job overview**:

- The post holder will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the Psychiatric Liaison Service.
- To be the first point of contact for the Psychiatric Liaison Team.
- The post holder will be required to manage and prioritise their day-to-day workload and use their initiative, without direct supervision, for routine tasks.
- This will require good organisational skills and the ability to cope with working to tight deadlines and with frequent interruptions.
- The post holder will need to be a team player, flexible and have a good sense of humour.

**Main duties of the job**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Communication and Working Relationships_
- All members of the Psychiatric Liaison Team
- Patients, Relatives, Carers.
- Consultant Psychiatrists and Medical Staff.
- Consultants and staff from Royal Cornwall Hospital
- Integrated Community Mental Health Teams.
- GPs.
- Multi-disciplinary Teams.
- Mental Health Records, Appointments, In-patient Wards.
- Other Trust staff, staff of Statutory/Voluntary Agencies and Commercial Representatives.
- Direct communication with patients and resolving their problems and queries as appropriate.
- Management and Personal Development_
- To work according to Trust policies and procedures.
- Participate in supervision and appraisals carried out by the Team Administrator.
