Based in Plymouth (3 days per week on-site), our client is looking to appoint several Finance Managers to provide financial and business partnering services, to ensure financial performance requirements are delivered across various commercial contracts.

**Core responsibilities will include**:

- Manage production of monthly, quarterly and 5 year financial actual/forecast reporting.
- Responsible for maintaining complete and accurate accounting records.
- Responsible for ensuring that contract amounts are billed accurately, in full and on time to ensure efficient cash collection.
- Ensure appropriate accounting standards are applied including IFRS 15.
- Financial reporting for internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Present financials to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide financial support and partnering to the business in respect of contract change proposals including providing review and challenge to associated project business cases
- Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Embed best practice financial control and governance to ensure that costs recognised are allowable, attributable and reasonable.
- Provide financial training and guidance to non-finance personnel where applicable
- Support the delivery of change programmes required to achieve contractual commitments including changes to cost collection methodologies and time recording activities.
- Lead on finance initiatives to improve consistency and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Ensure effective management of staff in order to meet department and business objectives.

**Finance Manager - qualities and experience sought**:

- Qualified Accountant with demonstrable previous experience within a finance manager/business partnering and financial reporting role within a large corporation
- IFRS 15 / contract accounting knowledge (preferred)
- Detailed knowledge of financial systems
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience of managing and implementing change
- Experience of SAP and Power BI would be advantageous
