Our client who is an established South West company is looking for a part qualified or experienced hands on accountant to assist with management accounts and the day to day transactional reporting of this SME. In this position you will assist in month end,VAT returns, preparation of management accounts and play a key role in the operations of the finance team. You will be joining a secure employer, with significant growth plans over the next 5 years.

The position will include:

- Prepare, analyse and issue monthly management accounts
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Liaise with the finance assistant to prepare weekly payment reports
- Post journals as required
- Coordinate the reconciliation and clearing of inter-company transactions
- Review bank reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Maintaining the sales ledger
- Assist with the annual statutory audit
- Be part ACCA/CIMA qualified or MAAT or Qualified by Experience.
- Have a keen eye for detail and work well in a team
- Strong IT skills
