**Key Duties**
- Provide professional advice, guidance and communications on the requirements of the Marks Processing Project. You will use your judgement and creativity to contribute to the project and recommend the most appropriate course of action, ensuring that you can communicate complex information succinctly and clearly to all stakeholder groups so that conceptual issues are understood.
- Take responsibility for auditing assessment processes for your college, liaising with key school and college stakeholders to identify assessment data requirements and local reporting requirements. Working independently and also as part of the project team, you will undertake a range of project related activities as where they fall within set role objectives.
- Investigate and analyse specific issues in assessment processes, creating recommendation reports, supported by advances within assessment best practice and processes which emerge throughout the project.
- Ensure that the Marks Processing project is delivered to the institution, proactively, communicating changes in recording of assessment data and working with schools to agree accountability, monitoring and validation of assessment marks at the point of entry.
- Establish working relationships with key contacts, developing appropriate communication links with the University’s Schools/Directorates and outside bodies as required.
- Create specific working groups from colleagues across the University to achieve school/departmental objectives.
- Plan and deliver specific small-scale projects, co-ordinating and supervising project teams created as needed, to engender the change management required for the University.
- Develop and deliver training within assessment management and professional services reporting as appropriate.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the department.
- Instruct and guide other employees across the University within the Marks Processing project as required.

**Qualifications and Education**
- Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent Professional membership/experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Substantial experience of working within assessment.
- Able to demonstrate professional knowledge within assessment to give advice and guidance to internal and external customers.
- Proven experience in developing new processes and procedures.
**Customer Service, Communication and Team Working**
- Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people providing training and development locally.
- Evidence of ability to explore customers’ needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered.
- Proven ability to develop networks in order to contribute to long term developments.
**Planning, Analysis and Problem solving**
- Knowledge and experience of collating, entering and using information from student management systems or databases and deliver specific projects and training to a range of staff.
- Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identify and propose both practical and innovative solutions.
- Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within specialist discipline.
**Desirable Criteria**
- Postgraduate/Professional qualification.
- Experience of working in a Higher Education environment.
- Fluency in Welsh, written and oral.
