**The role**:
An exciting opportunity to lead the Catering Team within Campus Division as Head of Catering, delivering strategic plans and operational delivery to contribute towards a world class campus.

**What will you be doing?**:

- ‘Source’_ is the in-house catering brand at the University of Bristol, that has strong food procurement ethical and sustainable credentials. The _Source_ catering operation includes 16 catering outlets, mobile pop-up catering channels and event/delegate catering at multiple sites on the university’s omni campus’ for almost 40,000 staff & students.

The role holder will be responsible for the effective leadership of the Catering Department and will actively analyse background papers & data to signpost the development of the catering portfolio being the strategic and commercial lead on catering related projects.

The Head of Catering will also be responsible for planning the resources, systems, people and processes necessary for ensuring effective service delivery including programme works, budget, quality, commercialisation, value for money, health, safety and environmental objectives are met while also exceeding all customers’ requirements from the service.

You are an advocate for sustainable & ethical produce and operations. You have a data-driven perspective supporting a ‘stretch’ approach to the delivery of catering projects and development, with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate others.

Analytical by nature, and able to identify opportunities and risks using information from multiple sources to help inform trend prioritisation across a large catering portfolio and be able to turn data into tangible food/beverage related innovations and improvements.

You have the skills and ability to identify commercial opportunities in the pursuit of profitability and sustainability that will support the University’s Estate Strategy and ‘Carbon Net Zero’ goals.
