We are looking for a Pastoral Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join Henley Bank High School and become an integral member of the team.

**Overview**:

- We are expanding our brilliant pastoral team. Henley Bank High School is a school that is passionate about inclusion and supporting all our students. We have a larger than national average amount of SEND students and we offer a wide variety of support and intervention. This role will support all students to ensure they can achieve the best chance of success.
- The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time. Any such duties should not however substantially change the general character of the post.

**Job Purpose**
- To ensure mínimal disruption to the learning of the class/groups by supporting with pastoral/behaviour management and assisting/providing removal and regulation time as needed
- To work under the guidance of teaching staff/SLT to provide support in addressing the needs of students who require particular help with relating behaviour, including students with ASD, ADHD and other special educational needs, mostly in the areas of ‘Communication and interaction’ and ‘Social, Emotional and Mental Health’
- Work alongside other members of Pastoral Support to ensure all students are able to learn in a disruptive free environment
- To ensure children with special educational needs are well-supported in our mainstream school environment through supporting and overseeing arrangements and provisions for individuals
