Senior Ultrasound Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to act as both a clerical and assistant lead within the ultrasound department.
This post has been developed to support both the staffing and operational challenges within ultrasound as a modality. The post holder will need to be confident in their decision making abilities, be able to work well under pressure. They will need to possess excellent communication skills with discussion taking place across many discipline's.

Assist and support the Superintendent Sonographer in the daily running of the Ultrasound Scanning Department to provide an efficient and productive service. Overseeing all clerical and administrative duties and having the autonomy to make decisions as necessary. Provide and lead assistant staff in clinical and administrative role. Assist and support Consultant Radiologists, Sonographers and Managerial staff. Provide effective communication, planning and organisational skills and meet deadlines. Communicate effectively with senior staff within the Trust to meet service needs and requirements.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
