An exciting opportunity has arisen for Ward Administrator posts across a number of wards at Withybush General Hospital. We are seeking an experienced individuals to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Ward Sister and deputies, acting as personal assistant.

The post holder will work between two wards that are similar in speciality. The wards are currently grouped together as follows:
- Ward 1 (T&O) and Ward 4 (Surgery)
- ADCU (acute admissions unit) & Puffin (Frailty)
- Ward 3 (Frailty medicine) and Ward 12 (Elderly care)
- Ward 7 (Medicine/Gastro) and Ward 10 (Oncology medicine)
- Ward 8 (Cardiology/CCU) and Ward 11 (Stroke).

The post holder willhave excellent communication skills andwill act as first point of contact for all non-clinical issues on behalf of the Ward Manager. The post holder will also liaise with Health Board staff at all levels and outside contractors / suppliers.

An exceptional eye for detail and excellent organisational skills are also essential for this role and you will be expected to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the work of the Senior nursing team.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
