**Production Shift Leader Reporting to Production Manager**

To oversee the daily running of Plants production team working alongside the current Production Shift Leaders, the role will also include assistance to the cut flower production shift leaders, working alongside the planning team to drive the production team to prepare and complete high quality, efficient flowers and plants, whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- To assist in the management of production and quality targets and to ensure smooth running of the production process.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure best use of the companies’ resources in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs.
- Lead the line leaders to ensure high quality and efficient flowers and plants are produced whilst achieving targets set and working safely
- Manage develop and motivate direct reporting staff
- Monitor, measure and report on production related issues
- Ensure good communication is given either verbally or in writing to all reporting staff as required.
- Have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
- Maintain high levels of time keeping
- Communicate with the manager on the efficient operation of the production line.
- Visual checking of the flowers, packaging and finished products on the production line;
- Planning performance reviews in conjunction with the Site/Production Manager
- Complete associated paperwork and computer work as required
- Comply with the Company rules and regulations as detailed within the Company Handbook.

**Knowledge and Skills**

**Essential skills**
- Previous Supervisory or Managerial experience
- English level - Advance
- Good computer literacy
- Good leadership and organisational skills
- Good floral and plant knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure

**Desirable skills**
- Vision and/or Great Plains experience
- Previous plants/flower experience

**Other Considerations**

Core Working Hours: 5 Days a week

Sunday - Thursday

Salary scale: £29,640 per annum, Contributory Pension Scheme

Other Benefits: Death in Service, Critical Illness Cover, Discretionary bonus scheme entry
