Junior Draughtsperson

This well-established company specialise in the supply of various building products to the construction industry ranging from brickwork, fixings, waterproofing, fire safety and concrete products. With a variety of reputable suppliers this company work withall blue chip companies and subsequent subcontractors to provide products best suited to large construction developments. Now with the development of their own product targeting fire safety building regulations they are looking for a Junior Draughtspersonto work in a newly developed team.

In this role you will be based from the Sheffield office but also be attending site visits predominantly across the M1 corridor from Manchester to London. You will mainly be office based and work alongside the Senior Designer who will provide you with onthe job support and training. You will be responsible for interpreting drawings from architects and contractors for the installation of specific cavity wall products into developments in line with recent building regulations. You will be marking up drawingsand moving these drawings into dimensional sheets. This role is suitable for a recent college leaver or graduate with a relevant construction/building qualification or experience within construction design.

The Role:

- AutoCAD design
- Working with cavity tray installation for construction subcontractors
- Creating construction drawings and layouts
- Sheffield based office with national site visits

The Person:

- Ability to produce basic construction drawings and layouts
- Able to interpret architect/contractor drawings
- Junior/College/Graduate Designer
- Experience in design OR relevant building qualification
