**Logistics Coordinator - immediate start - 6 months contract - based at Shepshed, Leics.**

This position requires a person with experience in a logistics environment to assist the team on a temporary basis and lead the customer free issue material in and out of the business. You will have responsibility for all business units’ despatch of items, where needed. This position is accountable for receiving and despatching of customer goods with minimum delay and accurate paperwork, to ensure smooth workflow into and out of the site. You will achieve results whilst working in a safe and quality conscious environment
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting in issuing customer free issue parts to the shopfloor.
- Receiving of customer materials at Goods Inwards including confirmation of material deliveries against order requirements and receiving of material deliveries into the ERP system. This includes; inspecting the parts for defects and ensuring their unique identifier matches that of the accompanying paperwork.
- To correctly package all customer FI items in accordance with the packaging guidelines found in their guidance notes for Customer Free Issue parts.
- Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental policy.
- Utilise data capture processes to drive Key Performance Indicators (SQCDP).
- Ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with the company’s manual handling policy.
- Ensure company procedures and processes are always followed.
- Adopt and support the principles of 5s to achieve a world class standard.
**Requirements**:
We are looking for a team-player with demonstrable experience gained in a good in/goods out environment. You must be PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
