Animal Rescue Centre Assistant

Hadlow Down, United Kingdom Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare Full time

We are seeking a committed animal lover to join us as an Animal Rescue Centre Assistant (ARCA)

Applicants should be able to work as part of a team, but also capable of lone working with the support of senior staff.

This is a permanent, full-time position, based on a four-week rolling rota, requiring weekend working. The hours are 8am-5pm, with 21 working days in each 28 day pay period.

Duties will involve working with a wide variety of domestic animals, birds, and rescued wildlife: cleaning animal enclosures, handling them confidently and observing any health issues. Whilst it is a physically demanding role, which necessitates lifting and carrying, as well as mixed indoor and outdoor working throughout the year, it is also extremely rewarding to provide comfort and a safe haven for the animals in our care.

Due to our rural location and lack of public transport links, personal transport is necessary.

Please send your CV together with a covering letter/summary of any previous related experience which you feel may be beneficial, although full training will be given.

Previous applicants do not need to re-apply.
