**Job Title**
Finance Clerk
**Reports to**
Finance Associate
**Summary**
**Responsibilities**
Processing Invoices:
- Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
Setting up New Supplier Accounts:
- Gather necessary documentation and information to set up new supplier accounts in compliance with company policies.
Assist with Payment Runs:
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and execute payment runs within established timelines.
- Ensure all payments are accurate and properly authorized.
Supplier Statement Reconciliations:
- Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Dealing with Supplier Queries:
- Act as a point of contact for supplier inquiries and address any issues or concerns professionally and promptly.
General Ledger:
- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data.
- Assist with data entry and journal entries as required.
Involvement in Business and Revenue:
- Work closely with the finance team to analyse and report on business and revenue-related financial data.
- Collaborate on financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
Financial Statements:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
VAT Returns:
- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
Month-End Close:
- Participate in the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial activities are properly recorded and accounted for.
**Key Skills**
- Bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of accounting system is desirable.
- Self-motivated and resilient with excellent organisational skills
- Hardworking, flexible and reliable with good attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Excel is essential
- Strong mathematical skills
